Energy is one of the fundamental pillars of a nation’s development. Amid global challenges such as climate change and dependence on fossil fuels, the transition toward green energy has become a necessity. This book is presented as a reflection of our commitment to addressing the urgent need for a sustainable and environmentally friendly energy system transformation, with a focus on Indonesia’s abundant renewable energy potential. Through the writing of this book, we hope to provide deeper insight into the dynamics of the global energy transition, national energy policies, as well as the challenges and opportunities faced by Indonesia in achieving renewable energy–based energy self-sufficiency. In this context, the Asta Cita vision serves as an important guideline for national energy development, integrating aspects of sovereignty, green industrialization, and equitable development.
